Brow Lift & Forehead Lift in Atlanta, GA

Brow Lift Before and After Pictures

Many people find that furrows and lines across the forehead give them an austere, worried look that doesn’t reflect their true mood. A lined or furrowed brow can make you appear upset or worried. Vertical ‘frown lines’ between the eyebrows can produce an angry or frightened look. A drooping brow can make you appear tired or sad and adds years to your otherwise, youthful appearance. The Atlanta Center for Breast and Aesthetic Surgery, led by Dr. Frederick T. Work, Jr., offers brow lift procedures for men and women who live in and around Atlanta, Buckhead, Vinings and Sandy Springs.

What is a Brow Lift?

A forehead lift, or brow lift, is a surgical procedure that rejuvenates the area above the eyes. The procedure eliminates drooping eyebrows and erases the horizontal lines between brows and worry lines across the forehead.

Benefits of a Brow Lift

A brow lift is a procedure that makes a dramatic difference in the appearance of some individuals, rejuvenating their face by providing the following improvements:

  • Elevates the eyebrows to a higher position, creating a more alert and youthful appearance.
  • Reduces the weight of a heavy brow to ‘open up’ the face.
  • Reduces a low or sagging brow that hoods the upper eyelid and may impair vision.
  • Erases wrinkles and lines across the forehead or high on the bridge of the nose.
  • Reduces vertical creases that develop between the eyebrows, also known as frown lines.
  • Corrects eyebrows that are asymmetrical or imbalanced.
  • Provides a fresh and rejuvenated, more youthful appearance to the entire face.

Am I a Candidate For a Brow Lift?

If you are unhappy with the appearance of low and heavy eyebrows and feel that they impart a tired, angry or worried expression that doesn’t reflect your real mood, you may be an excellent candidate for a brow lift. Typically, brow lift surgery is appropriate for healthy adults who suffer from the following concerns:

  • Sagging or drooping eyebrows.
  • Deep horizontal creases or wrinkles across the forehead.
  • Marked frown lines between the eyebrows and high on the bridge of the nose.

The Brow Lift Procedure

Dr. Work will advise you whether the classic (open) method or the endoscopic forehead lift is right for you. Both procedures typically require the same preparation. In preparation, the hair is tied back with rubber bands in front of and behind the incision area. Dr. Work will then make an incision. Forehead skin is gently lifted and portions of facial muscle and excess skin are removed. The incision is then closed up with stitches or clips.

Brow Lift Recovery

Your recovery will differ significantly depending on which procedure you undergo. With the classic method, numbness and temporary discomfort around the incision area may occur, as well as swelling. The swelling may also affect the cheeks and eyes; however, this disappears within a week or so. Hair loss around the incision area is also possible, but normal hair growth should resume within a few weeks or months. With the endoscopic forehead lift, numbness, incision discomfort, and mild swelling usually occur. Incision site pain is usually minimal. There is less of the itching sensation with the endoscopic forehead lift than with the classic method.

Complementary Cosmetic Procedures

In order to achieve a total rejuvenation of your face, the brow lift may be combined with the following additional procedures:

  • Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty) to rejuvenate aging eyes.
  • Facelift to correct signs of aging in the mid to lower face and neck regions.

The brow lift is often combined with upper eyelid surgery because heavy, drooping eyebrows often contribute to the appearance of sagging in the eyelids. Additional complementary procedures may include injectable fillers to add volume and contour to the upper facial region.

How Much Does A Brow Lift Cost in Atlanta?

Because every cosmetic procedure is customized for each individual patient, costs will vary between patients, and in many cases, a combination of procedures is performed to achieve full results. To cover the costs of procedures not covered by insurance, the Atlanta Center for Breast and Aesthetic Surgery proudly offers CareCredit® and Prosper® Healthcare Lending as financing options to keep our procedures affordable and accessible to all of our patients. Our office also accepts cash, personal checks, and credit cards.

If you are unhappy with the appearance of drooping brows, frown lines or lines across your forehead, consider a brow lift to achieve a tighter, fresher, more youthful appearance in the upper eye region. The Atlanta Center for Breast and Aesthetic Surgery, under the direction of Frederick T. Work, Jr., offers a variety of cosmetic procedures, such as brow lift, for both men and women in and around the Atlanta, Buckhead, Vinings and Sandy Springs area in Georgia.
